What do you think?
by GrowingFlowers
I just wrote a long and complicated post. But I changed my mind!
Here are some links instead to some of my favorite things. Things that have sparked my interest. Plus – a beautiful blog that chose to interview me about raising teens! I feel a bit embarrassed about sharing this link for some reason. But I am going to anyway!
Treska was chosen to present for Pecha Kucha: Remarkable Women of Taos edition. She shows 20 slides for 20 seconds. She talks about growing up as the daughter of a midwife. And her own passion!
A New Yorker article about the spoiling of American Children – wonder what you all think of this!
This is the funniest thing I have ever read in my entire life. It hits very close to home and it sure is good to laugh at ourselves sometimes!
Enjoy!

I´ve just read the New Yorker article and it got me thinking. A lot of things I can agree with. But with a few arguments, I see the typical “overthinking” of western parents.
For example the french parents, who dont want to pick up their children. I sincerely think, french parenting is nothing to look up to or be taken as idol.
For me, the best way to parent is Attachment Parenting, including a lifestyle (for yourself as well as your family) of simplicity, authenticy and believing, that your child is capable of doing things. (None of it, in my opinion are quite big values in mainstream french parents, for that matter …).
