Stolen Goods and a Messy House

After a perfect 9-5 birth with a few minutes of intensity (on our end) the weekend was upon us. I registered Kaya for Taos Youth Ballet fall semester. Her teachers talked of her determination and love of dance. Megan said, “I was a bunhead just like she is! I get her!”

She is taking the highest load she possibly can, a bit intense on the budget, but so worth it. She loves it. It will be 8 hours 15 minutes a week. I know that is how many hours she would like to do each day!

Joan and I picked apples. Secretly! There was a tree laden with apples, actually two. They were falling to the ground, unpicked, unused and delicious. We tried to call the owner of the trees, to no avail. No answer. We helped ourselves! We filled some small bags with apples, ate apples and brought them home!

I forgot in the excitement of the stolen apples that I was supposed to go home, clean up the house and await the arrival of Kaya and her friend’s mother. This mom is a mom I haven’t met before. Of course, I arrived home about 5 minutes before they arrived and things were NOT the way I had planned! I am such a “neatnic” it definitely was very challenging for me! I have my home beautiful at all times normally, because that’s how I am….. I don’t have tons of people over and this ONE time I really wanted it to be perfectly beautiful the way I wanted it – nope. Life is trying to teach me to be less uptight. I’m trying, I swear! Oh well. I’ll just say it again.

Oh well.
