College Applicating……

Just two more days to go. This has been the week of finishes. Finishing Treska’s application to college. We are doing the Common App as well as supplements for homeschooling and a specific small liberal arts college. A favorite one!
We spent 11 hours on the computer together yesterday. There was some fun involved, some tea – but really, I figured out that the purpose of the college application process is to make kids and moms READY for their kids to go off to college. Oh dear lord. But we have made tons of progress and I won’t allow myself to think about the emotional ramifications for myself of having a daughter move out.
Nope. Not yet. Can’t even handle the slightest hint of it. Needless to say, she is excited, but also waxing a bit nostalgic as well.
Anyhow. It is just the beginning. It’s only the application not the packing of the car.
So today, I am hoping to tear myself off of the dreaded computer and find myself outside for a short bit of time.
I am getting my garden beds ready for winter. Tucking them in. Pulling the flowers and turning the soil. Hopefully tomorrow we will carve a pumpkin. I can’t get stuck here. Though I try. My poor computer addicted brain. Off with ye!
