Now that Christmas is over…..

I can share some of the homemade gifts…
The blanket was a gift for a little baby girl named after me! Yep. Unbelievable. The same week that I had a most devastating experience in the Birth Room, I also had a little tiny baby girl named after me. Her middle name. When the parents told me at the 24 hour home visit – amidst the playing children, the weighing of the baby, I just burst into tears. I actually sobbed. I was so overjoyed. This isn’t something that happens to Midwives in America,. I don’t think so. Not often.
Anyhow – this little girl will now receive a present from me every Christmas. It will become a tradition.

What a lovely thing to happen! No wonder you got emotional … love what you’ve made, too! =D
So beautiful, Kiersten. What an amazing honour…and I love the idea of your tradition. You and this baby are going to have an incredible bond…I can feel it. xo
I sure hope so!
Think how much you mean to this family! What a lovely tribute to you.
Thank you Wendy! I think, often, we never know that we DO mean anything. Our clients probably don’t know either – how much we love them. (Well, some of them!
